Caregiving, the Way It Should Feel
In a large building, a caregiver can have a dozen call lights and no time to answer any of them well. In a home with 6 residents, you know everyone. You know who likes the crossword and who needs a slower morning. You cook real food, walk in a real garden and go home knowing you did good work.
Our residents are older adults who need help with daily life, and some live with memory loss. The work is hands-on: bathing, dressing, medications, meals, company. It is also human: a song, a story, a hand to hold on a hard afternoon.
What We Offer
Good caregivers are hard to find and easy to lose. Here is how we try to keep you:
- A small, steady team where your voice counts
- Time to give care properly, without rushing
- Help with state-required training, certification and continuing education
- Dementia and mental-health specialty training
- Full-time and part-time schedules, with day, evening and overnight shifts as they open
- A calm, respectful workplace, with a porch to take your break on
Pay and benefits depend on the role and your credentials. We go through them clearly at interview.
What We Look For
- Kindness and patience, especially with people who have memory loss
- Reliability, because residents count on you to show up
- Ability to pass a Washington DSHS fingerprint background check
- Home Care Aide certification, NAC, LPN or RN, or the willingness to complete Washington’s training within the time the state allows
- Current CPR and first aid, or the willingness to get them
- Comfort with cooking, light housekeeping and being outdoors
Experience is welcome but not required. If you have the right heart, we can help with the rest.
