Why We Chose a Small Home

Most families who call us are tired and worried. A parent needs more help than they can give at home. But the big places feel busy and loud, and every hallway looks the same. We wanted to offer something gentler.

Peach Pointe Adult Family Home is a real house in Centralia, WA, licensed by Washington State for up to 6 residents. There is a kitchen, a living room, a porch and a backyard with fruit trees. Caregivers are here around the clock. Your mother or father gets a room of their own, a familiar routine and people who know their name.

A Good Day, Every Day

We plan for good days. That is the whole idea behind this home.

A good day here starts slowly. Coffee on the porch if the morning is warm, or by the window if it is not. Breakfast when you are ready, not when a cart arrives. Then a little of whatever you enjoy: the paper, a walk, the garden, a card game, a nap. Lunch and supper are cooked in our kitchen. Evenings wind down early, with music, a favorite show and a quiet house.

Nobody is rushed. Nobody eats alone unless they want to. Small things like these add up to a life that still feels like your own.

A woman with dark hair sits in an armchair holding a blue mug and looks out through sheer curtains at a sunlit window.

The Garden and the Table

Out back, raised beds hold tomatoes, beans and herbs. There is a peach tree, and a few other fruit trees besides. Residents who want to can water, pick and snip. Those who would rather watch can sit in the shade with a glass of something cold.

Whatever the garden gives us ends up in the kitchen. Meals are cooked from scratch and served at one long table. Food here is a pleasure, not a schedule. We cook for each person’s diet and tastes, and we remember favorites.

Calm, Well-Trained Caregivers

Good care takes skill as well as kindness. Every caregiver passes a state background check and completes the training Washington requires. Our team includes caregivers with dementia and mental-health specialty training, and a registered nurse delegates medication tasks where needed. Each resident has a clear written care plan. We say plainly what we can and cannot do.

Families Are Part of the Home

You know your parent best. We want your ideas, your questions and your company. Visit when you like, stay for lunch, and expect a call or a text when something changes. Honest answers, even the hard ones, are part of our promise to you.

Licensed and Inspected

Adult family homes in Washington are licensed by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). DSHS inspects each home and follows up on any complaint. You can look up any licensed home on the DSHS Adult Family Home Locator.
