Many of the people who visit this website are older adults, and some live with changes in sight, hearing, movement or memory. Others are adult children reading on a phone late at night. We want the site to be easy for all of them.
Our Goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These are the widely used standards for making websites work well for people with disabilities.
What We Have Done
Here is what we have built into the site so far:
- Large, easy-to-read body text
- Strong contrast between text and background colors
- Big buttons and links that are easy to tap on a phone
- Clear, visible outlines when you move through the site with a keyboard
- Descriptive text for images, for people who use screen readers
- Headings and page structure that screen readers can follow
- An accessibility toolbar for adjusting text size, contrast and more
- Our phone number on every page, for anyone who would rather call
Known Limits
Some content from outside services, such as maps or the visit booking calendar, may not fully meet these standards. If any part of the site is hard to use, we will gladly help you by phone or email instead.
Tell Us About a Problem
If you have trouble using any part of this website, please tell us. Call (360) 771-4442 or email peachpointeafh@gmail.com. Let us know which page and what went wrong. We will do our best to fix it, and we will get you the information another way in the meantime.
Ongoing Work
We review the site regularly and fix problems as we find them. Accessibility is never finished, and we treat it that way.
